Counselling in Essex

Counselling for Professionals Across Essex

People in demanding roles often look after everyone else first. I offer a confidential space for professionals to step back, process what they carry and protect their wellbeing.

Understanding

Who is this for?

I work with people in demanding roles, including teachers, police and emergency services, NHS and social care staff, prison staff, managers, executives and fellow counsellors.

With my own background in public-sector and complex settings, I understand the pressures of responsibility, risk and constant demand.

Common issues

  • Burnout and chronic stress
  • Compassion fatigue and secondary trauma
  • Imposter syndrome and perfectionism
  • Leadership pressure and confidence
  • Workplace conflict
  • Difficulty switching off
  • Fear of stigma about seeking help
  • Balancing work with life

Who I work with

People who care for others, lead teams or carry heavy responsibility are often the least likely to ask for help for themselves.

  • Police and emergency services
  • NHS and healthcare staff
  • Social workers and care staff
  • Counsellors and therapists
  • Managers and executives
  • Prison and criminal-justice staff
