To comply with General Data Protection Regulations Essex Therapy is a member of the ICO www.ico.org.uk and follow the principles of the Data Protection Law. Essex Therapy have set out here why and how we collect your data.

In accordance with ICO Essex Therapy will collect and keep data for the purpose of providing a therapeutic service. This data may include contact details, notes covering assessment, history, ongoing progress and any other information as is needed to provide the service and meet compliance requirements.

Essex Therapy regularly attends supervision to help ensure the quality of practice. The shared information on the work being completed is anonymised. Once the work is completed the information is deleted or shredded.

Essex Therapy will not pass on any information in accordance with BACP code of best practice unless legally bound.

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Essex Therapy members work to the BACP code of ethics, working in accordance with their ethical framework for good practice.
